Thanks for opening my eyes Queen. I have been reading the incredible SxS also. I just was having a hard time with Kate's reluctance for Not Wanting Presents from Castle and the heartbreaking story of how her and her father go their separate ways and it bummed me out totally. Especially after she was dropping hints about jewelry for her birthday. I wasn't seeing things clearly because of it. Your wonderful words brought back everything into perspective. Great Review!!!!

We'll get into more detail about some of those things as the SxS progresses, but I'm so glad it's helping you to see things in a different light. We all have our own way of seeing things and sometimes it helps to look through someone else's eyes when we have a hard time grasping the whys or the hows of the story. No matter my initial reaction sometimes, I always try to look at it through the character's eyes and also through the writers' eyes to try to figure out the meaning behind it. Nothing is ever done by chance so there's a greater purpose and reason for everything we see and hear and I always try to figure that out and come to an understanding about it. |

I LOVED this episode, and I LOVE your review, my friend! NOBODY can review Castle like you can! NO-BOD-Y!  And, as usual, don't know how you do this! But, that's why you're the one who does!   Heading to TVGC now. Thanks, CK, and thank you for the comments at TVGC as well! It's sad that this is my last contribution of 2012 but it was such a wonderful episode to review and I'm so looking forward to the rest of this season!! Thanks, Bren!! I really appreciate you taking the time to read these and it means so much that you enjoy them! You were one of the regulars back in the day who enticed me to come out of lurkdom and start posting, so I really appreciate your support and encouragement! And I know, it's hard to imagine me as a lurker, isn't it? Lol. But it's true!! As for those director's cuts, maybe one of these days I'll give that a shot and post it here. Usually, I don't keep copies of my original reviews as I just edit them and cut them from the first draft. But maybe I'll do that one of these times and post the full-length version of one. If anything, it'll be entertaining to see how much I've cut out of it. Lol. |
